Directed thirty study seminars abroad in the countries of the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe and China, 1970-present; directed four Carroll College Alumni trips to the countries of the former Soviet Union; directed twelve Waukesha Area Sister City Association programs in Russia and Kazakhstan.
